Robert Stewart

Clients and Rob work together as partners. They explore the issues, build insight, and design concrete steps to help clients realize change and achieve their own definitions of wellbeing. Taking clients’ preferences strongly into account, their work combines treatments such as traditional talk therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy (SFT) as is best for clients’ unique circumstances. Rob has a “serious but relaxed” style that embraces the power of rational positive thinking, humor, and enjoyment in sessions. He also brings innovative approaches from the conflict management field, cultural competence from living in Europe for three years, and a native Washingtonian’s perspective on the city.

Rob holds a Master in Social Work from the University of Southern California, a Master in Conflict Management and International Economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS, and a BA magna cum laude in psychology from Duke University. He has work experience in consulting, education, and photography.

Alicia Sellitti

Alicia helps clients cope with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, drug addictions, and other mental health issues detrimental to a healthy, fulfilling life. Her experience includes working at a core services agency, a safe house for abused women, a suicide hotline, and a hospice care facility.  She believes that no single treatment approach works for every person, so she employs a broad range of modalities; however, all of her client relationships begin with an opportunity for them to talk and to have someone listen. Her practice focuses on women, the LGBTQ+ community, people of color, the elderly, and other at-risk clientele who might not otherwise have access or exposure to therapy.  She received a Masters in Social Work degree from the University of Southern California, a Master of Arts degree from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University.
